Why we have chosen farmers markets over online sales: Connecting through seeds, seedlings, and dried flowers.

Last year we sold our flowers both online and at the Napier urban farmers market on Saturdays. This year we were offered a permanant spot at the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market on Sundays. I initially toyed with idea of doing it all but decided that some work life balance was more important.

I decided to focus on the vibrant, hands-on experience of selling at farmers markets rather than online. I love the power of face-to-face interactions, where customers can see, smell, and touch the freshness of our flowers, seeds, and seedlings.

I decided that if we just focus on the farmers markets we would also offer a selection of seeds and seedlings. Our goal is to help gardeners to grow their own vibrant gardens including specialty cut flower varieties, while our dried flowers provide lasting beauty for homes.

Eventually we will be introducing workshops ( watch this space) and doing some more weddings.

The amazing Lauren will be doing Saturday 9- 12 Napier Urban Farmers Market. I’ll be at the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market Sundays 9-12.
